Spelling this week: 
Rule 1: When a word ends with a consonant and a "y", the "y" changes to "i" before all suffixes --- except the "ing" suffix. 
Words: happy-happiness, try-tried, lazy-laziness, city-cities, grocery-groceries, pretty-prettiest
Rule 2:  When a word end in "y", add the suffix "ing" without changing the spelling of the word.
Words:  fly-flying, study-studying, buy-buying, hurry-hurrying, cry-crying, apply-applying

 5 Spelling sentences  (Refer to guidelines inside spelling notebook cover.)

Reading:  Read a chapter book for 30 minutes.

Tuesday: 

ABC Order (use all 24 words)

3 Definitions (select any 3 from the root word list)

 Reading:  Read a chapter book for 30 minutes.

Wednesday:  

Spelling/Language:  Copy class sentences accurately into spelling notebook.
